We finally have an Available Cats page! Hooray! However, it is still just me (Holly) doing most of the work in the shelter, and my health is often terrible, so there’s a decent chance this page isn’t up to date (sorry, I’m trying). There are also sometimes some cats I can’t show publicly (because of difficult circumstances at the previous home, because they’re a fancy breed that would attract the wrong sort of attention, and so on), so it’s still worth messaging us even if you don’t see the cat for you on this page.
The quickest way is to message us on Facebook or by email (but I’m usually faster at replying to the Facebook ones because the app hounds me to!). Let us know if you’re looking for anything in particular, a bit about your home and lifestyle, and if anyone here has caught your eye. I’ll get back to you as soon and hopefully we can find you the perfect moggy match.
Sprite

This gorgeous older kitten had to be given up because he was bullying the other cat in his household. Unfortunately, he REALLY does not like other kitties so will need to be an only moggy. He’s also deaf and has asthma, meaning he’ll be an ideal cat for a flat or indoor home. He could go outside in a catproofed garden or catio, but you would need to put sunscreen on him because pure white cats are very susceptible to skin cancer.
He’s a wonderful, friendly, incredibly playful cat with humans — just not a cat’s cat!

Candy

This is the second time beautiful older lady Candy (15) has been in for rehoming. She originally came in when her owner, who had dementia and hadn’t been taking very good care of her, passed away. She was quite scared of people (understandably!) but came right out of her shell in foster and soon showed her loving, cuddly side.

Candy did find a lovely home but sadly is now back with us because of a change in circumstances. She’s a really beautiful cat with a touch of grumpy face, but don’t let it fool you — she’s a softie really! She’s not keen on other cats so would probably be best as the only moggy, but she’s not fussed about outdoor access so can be indoor if needed. She is really sweet and soft, and a brilliant companion cat.
She does have an overactive thyroid, like many older kitties, which is making her thinner than usual at the moment while we get it sorted out. But it’s really easy to treat, it’s just some liquid medication twice a day which we can help supply if needed. We really hope this won’t hold her back from finding the loving home she deserves, she’s a great cat and always purring, plus her face is hilarious. She always looks like she’s had enough!
