Moggies looking for homes

Thank you for your interest in our merry moggies! We sometimes have cats available who haven’t made it onto our page yet, so if you don’t see anyone who jumps out at you, please contact us to see if we have anyone else who might be your new feline companion.

Please be aware that we are a very small charity, and we may not always be able to get back to you as quickly as we would like.

The quickest way is to message us on Facebook or by email (Facebook is usually faster). Let us know if you’re looking for anything in particular, a bit about your home and lifestyle, and if anyone here has caught your eye. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible, and hopefully we can find you the perfect moggy match.

Rosie

This poor girl has been to us twice! She originally came to us when her owners became homeless, and she found a new home, which she sadly had to leave when her new owner went into care.

She is normally a sweet and friendly cat, though there have been some people she clearly doesn’t like. So if you’re interested, do come and meet her in person to make sure your personalities are a match for each other.

Rosie is 12 years old and has no known health problems apart from having terrible teeth when she came to us. She’s had 10 teeth removed now, but has no problems with eating, drinking, or snacking!

She needs a calm home where she can be queen of the castle, to relax and show her loving side.

Nika

Nika is a really special girl. She’s about a year old, and was surviving on the streets in Birmingham before she was rescued by locals and brought to us as she showed signs of being wobbly. Her wobbliness is mild to moderate – she gets around really well, but sometimes will have a bit of a fall or miss her footing. Like many stray cats in colonies, she has also tested positive for FIV. Ideally this would mean she is an only cat or housed with other FIV+ kitties. She also needs to be an indoor cat, as FIV+ cats can’t be vaccinated. She is spayed and microchipped.

Since being rescued and staying in foster for a couple of months, she’s taken to indoor life really well and will make an absolutely wonderful companion for anyone who can give her the right home. She’s such a character – incredibly friendly and playful, she absolutely loves people and wants to be your best friend. She’s just as bonkers as you’d expect of a kitty her age, loves to sit in a puzzle box lid, and pulls the best faces. She’s brilliant.

Her wobbly cat syndrome is mild, so she doesn’t really have any problems with hygiene or mobility. She is just very quirky and funny in how she walks and jumps! She’s totally unique and very special, but she will need a home where she can be kept safely indoors and get good regular veterinary care to ensure she has the best chance of living a long happy life with her underlying FIV.

Chili Pepper

Chili has recently joined us from a home where she was shut in a small room and wasn’t appropriately socialised. She’s about two years old and healthy, and since she’s been with us, she has blossomed in foster care and started to trust humans. She’ll now even come for cuddles in the morning on her foster mum’s bed and has a loud purr!

Because of her background, she needs a calm environment where she can relax and feel safe. She wouldn’t do well with children, but she might be OK with other pets. She may hide and hiss for a while, but once she realises that she’s safe, she’ll be coming up to you for fuss, knocking over glasses of water, and giving you the famous “Tortie-tude.” She’s a soft loving baby who’s been badly treated – she needs a patient owner who will take time to help her feel confident and show her loving and sassy self.

Her foster mother describes her as “90% little angel and 10% demon, as with all torties!” She doesn’t seem hugely interested in going outside, so she could be rehomed to a flat without outside space.

Antonio

Handsome older gent Antonio was found roaming the streets with a very poorly eye. He’s now had it removed (the other one is fine so far, though there’s a chance it could deteriorate), as well as having some manky teeth removed and getting his jabs. Once he’s a healthy pirate, he’ll be ready to go to his home, possibly his first ever!

Antonio is around 10 years old, neutered and microchipped. He’s a bit shy at first (he’s only just getting used to humans, after all) but quickly warms up when he realises he’s safe. Once he trusts you, he’s very friendly and sweet. Because his one eye means he doesn’t have great depth perception, he needs to be either an indoor cat, or only have access to a fully catproofed garden.

Kiwi and Finch – RESERVED

These two beauties are our first ever wobbly siblings! Found on the streets with their mum and two non-wobbly siblings, Kiwi (brown tabby) is a boy, and Finch is a rare ginger girl (3/4 ginger cats are male because of the genetic component).

They were pretty scared of people at first and Finch is still easily spooked, but Kiwi is very friendly and confident now, and Finch is learning to follow his lead. They both love playing with toys (and Finch forgets her fear of people when one is holding a ribbon on a stick!), have tonnes of energy, and get on really well with other cats.

Their wobbles are moderate-severe but will improve as they get bigger and stronger. Kiwi especially can be quite messy in the litter tray, and usually needs a wash every few days at the moment, though again it will get better as they grow. They’re fixed, chipped and fully vaccinated and will be looking for a home together (we won’t split them), ideally with people very experienced with wobblers — especially because they’ve already been taken home and then returned once, poor babies.

SpriteRESERVED

This gorgeous older kitten had to be given up because he was bullying the other cat in his household. Unfortunately, he REALLY does not like other kitties so will need to be an only moggy. He’s also deaf and has asthma, meaning he’ll be an ideal cat for a flat or indoor home. He could go outside in a catproofed garden or catio, but you would need to put sunscreen on him because pure white cats are very susceptible to skin cancer.

He’s a wonderful, friendly, incredibly playful cat with humans — just not a cat’s cat!

We almost certainly have more cats than this, please message us to check! Sorry, updating the website is quite far down the priority list unfortunately!
